Speeding car plunges into sewage pit

A Saudi driver emerged unhurt after his car plunged into a sewage pit under construction because of high speed, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

'Sabq' quoted eyewitnesses as saying the man was driving his van at “high speed” when it hit cement blocks and plunged into the sewage pit in the northern Rafha town.

“The driver was pulled out unhurt by rescuers but his car remained in the pit until civil defence units arrived and hauled it out,” it said.
