18 children living with mums in Welikada jail

Sri Lanka’s Welikada prison celebrated International Women’s Day last Friday under the theme ‘Protect her who protects the family’ at the women’s section of the prison.

Prison officials said there are 18 children under the age of five living in the prison with their mothers.
