Alcohol addict dashes 2-year-old child on floor

An alcohol addict has been arrested in Sri Lanka for dashing his neighbour’s two-and-a-half year old child on the floor on Saturday, the ‘Lankadeepa’ has reported.

Police said the accused committed the crime over a dispute with the child’s parents.

The child’s mother was on her way to the police to lodge a complaint on the night of the incident when the accused attacked the kid.

After neighbours beat up the accused, he was admitted to a local hospital.

The child has been admitted to Colombo National Hospital
