Child drowns while playing with pet dog

Colombo: A toddler drowned while playing with her pet dog in Sri Lanka’s Janakapura village.

According to ‘Gossip C Lanka’, the two-year-old followed her pet that ran towards an open well and she accidently plunged into it.

The child’s 25-year-old mom was witness to the accident, the report added.

By the time she rushed to save her child, it was too late.

However, the pet survived.

Body has been transferred to hospital for post-mortem.

Investigations are on.
