Cobra used in attempted murder

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in Sri Lanka for attempting to kill another man with a cobra.

According to police, the suspect allegedly tied up a man and put him in a plastic barrel with a cobra in a sugarcane plantation in Weveyaya, Sevanagala on May 9.

The victim, who was bitten by the cobra, is currently receiving treatment at the Embilipitiya hospital.
