Elderly man chokes on dentures, dies
A drunkard in Sri Lanka who stabbed his wife seriously injuring her over a quarrel, later choked to death when his dentures got stuck in his throat, reports The Island.
In a state of inebriation, 65-year-old Lihinikaduwage Gnaratana had picked up a quarrel with his wife before stabbing her to death.
After the man’s son had admitted his wounded mother to hospital and returned to his home in Diddeniya, Hanwella, he was in for a double shock.
He found his father lying on the floor. He rushed the old man to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
