Father shows obscene film to 6-year-old daughter

Colombo: A father was arrested by Kandana police for carrying his 6-and-half-year old daughter to an isolated place and showing her an obscene video film in the presence of two other friends, ‘Sunday Mawbima’ reported.

Police said the miserable man abused his daughter – studying in grade two – while returning in a trishaw from school.

The little girl told her grandmother about the incident, but the old woman concealed the matter to save her son.

The father, his two friends and the grandmother were later arrested on a complaint lodged by the kid’s mother, who came to know the incident later.

Two suspects were released on bail while the main suspect and a friend were remanded till March 31.

Police revealed that the the 26-year-old main suspect earlier had a case for sexually molesting his 15-year-old cousin about three-years ago after befriending her.

In her statement, the little girl related the story to the police and was admitted to the Kandana hospital for medical examination.

Police said investigation continues.
