Filipino held for sodomy in Lanka

Colombo: A Filipino has been remanded in police custody in Sri Lanka after being found guilty of sodomy.

According to a report in ‘Lankadeepa’, the 45-year-old Filipino, an executive officer in a factory, is charged with engaging in gay sex with a schoolboy.

The incident came to light when police received a call on their emergency number.

Police discovered that the foreigner engaged with the boy when his wife and 12-year-old daughter was not at home.

Meanwhile, the suspect is currently in hospital as his blood pressure soared high after arrest.

He is under police vigilance as the investigations continue.
