Girl takes soft-drink… wakes up naked

Colombo: An investigation has been opened by police to apprehend a suspect, who is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in a lodge giving her a soft drink mixed with drugs, ‘Lankadeepa’ reported.

The suspect is said to be a 24-year-old father of one, who befriended the girl two days before the incident.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect was given some soft drink mixed with drugs and when she awoke around 5pm, she found herself lying naked on a bed.

She made a complaint at the Rathgama police after she related the story to her sister.

The officers of the Galle Division Crime Branch have visited the scene to collect evidence.
