Google Doodle for Sri Lanka

In acknowledgement of Sri Lanka’s Independence Day Google.com has created a Google doodle in honour of the national day.

 This independence day Google doodle could be viewed not only on the google.lk<https://google.lk> home page worldwide but also on the google.com<https://google.com> pages viewed in Sri Lanka.

 A post on Google product forums, by a Sri Lankan user, Bhuddika Nuwan indicates a request made to the Google team to place a Google doodle on its homepage on Independence Day.
