Minor girl asks police to allow her to live with lover

A strange complaint was made to the Kaluthara South Police station by a 15-year-old school girl who said that she needs to go and live with her boy friend's family due to the ill treatment and harassment by her parents, reports Lanka Mirror.

She had visited the police station to lodge a complaint at the police station with her 'future mother-in-law'.

The girl who had come to the police station clad in school uniform, is scheduled to appear for the GCE O/L examination this year and her boy friend is 21-years-old.

However, the OIC of the Kalutara Women and Child division, has taken the girl to her custody and further investigations are now being carried out.
