Missing school students spend night in shrub
Colombo: Two teenagers who went missing from their school in Kuliyapitiya in Sri Lanka was discovered by the search team after they spend the night in a shrub and was moving to another location.
Parents of the boy and girl - students of Grade 13 and Grade 9 respectively – looked around for their children the entire night after filing a missing report with the police, reported ‘Hiru Gossip’.
The girl’s parents had gone to Katupotha area to search for their daughter after receiving information from certain sources that she was seen with a student from that area. Having no luck, when they were returning home, the boy and girl boarded the same bus.
Reportedly, the students changed their uniform in school and headed to Nikaweratiya. There they requested for a place to stay but when the residents of the house refused, they spend the night in a nearby shrub and was on their way to another location, when they boarded the same bus as that of the girl’s parents.
The girl has been admitted to hospital for medical examination, while the boy has been detained by police.
Investigations continue.
