SRI LANKA: A senior Information Security Engineer of Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (Sri Lanka CERT) Roshan Chandragupta told that they have blocked over 300 Facebook accounts which were used to embarrass and harm the reputation of numerous people.
He also told that Sri Lanka CERT has received complaints about over 3,000 such Facebook accounts and the blocking of these 300 accounts were a result of further investigating into those complaints.
Most of these complaints had been made by school students and artistes for using their photos and creating fake Facebook accounts.
