A Sri Lankan woman cricket player has testified before the country’s cricket authorities that recent reports of sexual bribes sought from female players were true, the ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ has reported.

She said that though sexual bribes were not sought directly from the women players, some people from the management had hinted as it and she had to make much effort to evade such advances.

The ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’ report said team manager Roshan Iddamalgoda, coach Jeewantha Kulatunga and five senior players of the women’s team had testified about the issue.

Sri Lanka Cricket’s higher authorities have been urged to ask the police to  investigate the matter.
