Woman sells heroin to bail out jailed boyfriend

A 24-year-old woman, who was engaged in selling heroin to raise money to bail out her jailed boyfriend, had been arrested in Sri Lanka, the ‘Mawbima’ reported.

The suspect was arrested with 160 packets of heroin.

Police said the suspect was arrested on her way to prison as she was selling heroin to prison inmates and others in the area with the consent of her jailed boyfriend.

She told police that as she needed 250,000 rupees to bail out her boyfriend

The suspect, who studied at a leading school in Kalutara, had started a love affair with a drug addict after meeting him at a musical show.
