A slew of stories have emerged from Singapore, courtesy asiaone, that suggest an increasing amount of anger by residents towards taxi drivers.
Some of these incidents some Dubai residents might be able to identify with, though in the recent past the RTA has drastically increased the number of taxis in the emirate so getting one should not be a problem.
Getting on, was, in fact, no problem for these Singaporean revelers, it was the driver’s refusal to ferry them that left them angered.
Pictures of the trio blocking the taxi from moving forward on a road were posted on social networks.
The driver said he was changing shifts so he could not take them.
The trio said they were not going to let him pass.
In the end, they did, but only after capturing the drama on camera.
In a second, separate unrelated incident, also from Singapore, an elderly man lashed out at a taxi driver for picking someone up who had jumped a queue.
The incident allegedly happened outside Singapore’s famous Orchard Towers.
This time the entire drama was caught on video.
After waiting for some time in a queue, the man lost his patience when someone jumped the long and the taxi picked him up,
The man rushed in front of the taxi and told the cabby off.
Again, something most Dubai residents have experienced at some time or another.
