Teacher fined Dh1,000 for hitting student

A Fujairah Court fined an African teacher Dh1,000 for hitting a little student and causing bruises on some parts of his body.

The teacher went on trial after the prosecution found that the school boy was severely smacked by the teacher, following a medical examination.

The student’s father reported the teacher to the police early this month and presented a medical report showing his son was beaten by the African teacher in class.
