Teen arrested for looting expats at gunpoint
A teenager has been arrested for allegedly looting expatriate workers at gunpoint in Riyadh.
“Police saw a white car near a group of expatriates. When its driver noticed police approaching he fled from the spot,” a security source was quoted as saying by 'Arab News'.
Security officers then mounted a manhunt and the youth was finally arrested. He was carrying a gun, bullets and a knife.
Several mobile phone cards and recharge coupons, an ATM card and an iqama (resident permit) of an expatriate worker was seized from him.
The car was a stolen rental vehicle.
