Teenager raped by five men for a week

A 17-year-old Saudi girl who fled mistreatment at home was raped by five national men for one week as if to give credence to the famous saying “fell from the frying pan into the mud.”

The unnamed girl turned up in a bad shape at the office of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, the most feared Islamic enforcement authority in the Gulf Kingdom, and told them she had been raped.

Before taking her to the hospital, Commission members enquired about her family but she lied to them when she said she is a foundling, according to the Saudi daily Sabq.

At hospital, doctors found that the girl had lost her virginity and confirmed to authorities that she had been “savagely” raped.

After she was discharged from hospital, she was taken to a female rehabilitation centre while police mounted a massive manhunt for the rapists based on descriptions given by the victim.

“At the rehabilitation centre, the girl revealed her secret and told them the truth…she said that fled her home in a village near the western town of Qunfuda on the grounds her family mistreated her and forced her to tend to the cattle while she wanted to go to school,’ Sabq said.

“She said that after she fled her home, she was offered a lift by two Saudi men, who took her to an apartment in Makkah…there, they took turns in raping her along with three friends for seven days…at the end of the week, they gave her a lift to the Commission office.”
