Three of a family injured in accident in Sharjah

In an accident caused by a faulty tyre, three members of an Egyptian family were seriously injured Wednesday on Al Dhaid Road in Sharjah.

A nine-year-old girl and her parents were injured when the SUV they were travelling in overturned following a tyre burst and hit the concrete road divider.

The accident took place between intersections eight and nine on the busy Al Dhaid road. However, the three were rescued by the police and transferred to a nearby hospital, where they are recuperating.

The police have blamed faulty tyres for the accident and warned motorists about the dangers of using old and invalid tyres.
