A court in Ras Al Khaimah is hearing a case involving a couple trading beating charges and both of them produced evidence showing they are victims.

The woman told court her husband had beaten her up and presented a medical report showing she had been systematically smacked.

Her husband countered by telling the judge his wife hit him with an axe on his right side after he locked her up to prevent her from leaving the house with her children to live with her parents.

The judge decided to adjourn hearings to September 13 after both denied the charges against them, according to Emirat Alyoum newspaper.
