UAE to Canada: All you need to know on how to pursue further studies

If pursuing studies in Canada is among your ambitions but you have not quite figured out how to go about it, then you should be in Abu Dhabi or Dubai from October 20-23, when the Canadian Embassy holds its annual Middle East Education Initiative (MEEI).

The Study in Canada Fair 2013 is the 8th edition of the yearly event organised by the Canadian Embassy to introduce  undergraduate students in the UAE to Canadian universities, colleges, and language schools to learn about the possibilities of studying in Canada.

At this years' fair more than 20 educational institutions will be represented.

"Representatives from the institutions will be available to meet with students, parents and other members of the education community, and provide information about study opportunities in Canada," reads the Embassy's announcement of the event.

In addition, Canadian educational institutions in the UAE open their doors for tours during the day.

Currently, more than 2,000 students from the UAE are conducting studies in Canada, which remains the leading destination for immigrants and immigrant aspirants.

International student wishing to conduct studies in Canada can apply for a temporary student visa. After completing the study the Canadian Experience Class program offers a transition to a permanent visa, based on the minimal requirement of one year work experience.

The fair shoots off in Abu Dhabi on October 20 in Le Royal Meridien Hotel, and will be repeated in Dubai on October 22 at the Canadian University between 6-9 PM.
