UAE weather: Strong winds, rough seas

The UAE’s weather bureau has issued a weather warning for strong fresh winds and rough seas, especially in the north of the country, by Tuesday afternoon.

This weather pattern is expected to continue over the next few days, blowing dust and sand over open areas, which may hinder horizontal visibility, added the country’s National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS).

The average temperatures across the country, at 8.4 degrees Celsius at 6am in Damsa on Monday, will experience another dip by Wednesday.

The NCMS further states partly cloudy weather over some areas, along with northwesterly winds will result in a fall in temperatures.

However, the relative humidity is also expected to increase during night and early morning over some internal and coastal areas, bringing forth a chance of fog and mist formation over some internal areas.

Meanwhile, the NCMS has also issued a marine warning, forecasting the sea becoming very rough by night over the Arabian Gulf and moderate-to-rough over the Oman Sea.
