A woman in Georgia died saving her bay as her boyfriend shot her in the head last week.
Jessica Arrendale’s body was found slumped over the toilet, according to a report in the ‘Huffington Post’.
Investigators believe the 37-year-old mother was holding her six-month-old daughter when she was shot in the head and managed to turn in such a way so as to drop the baby safely into the toilet and shield her with her body.
Police waited for 14 hours before entering the house after being called fearing their presence may trigger more violence from her drunk boyfriend, Davis.
According to police, he beat her with a baseball bat and shot her before killing himself.
The child was found alive in the toilet shielded by Arrendale’s body. Her mother believes Davis would have wanted to kill both but may not have seen the child.
The baby suffered from a traumatic head injury.
