Video: Heat kills thousands of fish

Soaring summer temperatures killed thousands of fish in the Saud waters and a large quantity of them washed ashore at a famous beach.

A YouTube film carried by Sabq newspaper showed hundreds of tonnes of fish dotted the beach at the Eastern port of Dammam.

It quoted experts as saying the fish died because of a surge in temperatures in the Gulf Kingdom, leading to lower oxygen levels in the water.
