Video of Saudi football star attacked not true: Dubai Police

An official source of Dubai Police has clarified that former Saudi international football player Mohammed Jawad has not been assaulted, following the spread of a video on social media which claimed to show Jawad being attacked, Al Bayan reports

Dubai Police explained that Jawad himelf has stated in an interview with one of the satellite TV channels that the video in question was a staged scene as part of a Ramadan series.

The video which went viral on social media shows people getting down from a car and speaking to Jawad in provocative manner.

Jawad is one of the best players to come out of Saudi Arabia and represented the Al Ahli club in Jeddah.
