As the third day of the Dubai Comedy Festival commences, homegrown funnyman Nitin Mirani headlines, while Halloween festivities present its own brand of fun.

Emirates 24|7 brings you the best of the day:

Desi Invasion

The Dubai Comedy Festival continues with the Desi Invasion with local funny man, Nitin Mirani, leading the charge.

Nitin is no stranger to playing the big stages around the world and was the handpicked choice to open for Eddie Griffin on his Dubai tour, before he emerged as the UAE’s and India’s representative in ‘The Funniest Person in the World 2015’ competition.

Performing alongside will be comedians Atul Khatri, Abish Mathew, Kenneth Sebastian and Neeti Palta.

A purpose-built 4,500 seat venue at Skydive Dubai will be the stage for the event.

In addition, the festival will include performances across other locations in Dubai, including the Comedy Strip @ JBR Walk where a daily programme of street performers will delight young and old alike.

The Comedy Strip will also play host to an array of performances including ‘Funny Girls’, an exclusive show by Dubai’s comediennes at Tribeca, JA Ocean View Hotel.

Info: Organised by Eyka, the Skydive Dubai stage will see a range of ticket prices between Dh125 and Dh350. Show starts at 8pm. Doors will open at 6pm.

Halloween at Wild Wadi

Head down to Wild Wadi this October for a glimpse of the waterpark’s creepy creatures, set to appear from the shadows this month of Halloween.

This year a purpose-built prison, called the ‘Forbidden Basement’ is said to house creatures of the night.

The ‘Forbidden Basement’ is the UAE’s first haunted house in a waterpark, inviting guests on a journey through a crooked old house.

Parents with small children can take part in ‘Trick or Treating’ as an alternative, with free sweets given away each day.

Info: Guests can experience ‘Forbidden Basement’ or ‘Trick or Treating’ between 1-7pm from 1-31 October.
General admission for guests over 1.1m costs Dh295 and admission for children under 1.1m costs Dh260. This includes single admission to ‘Forbidden Basement’ or the ‘Trick or Treating.’

It's October and the month of breast cancer awareness. In support, The Mojo Gallery has launched the first Blessed pop up shop, called The Pink Project.

The event will see the launch of a limited edition fashion range consisting of clothing, accessories as well as poster art.

Info: Free entry at The Mojo Gallery, Al Quoz 1 from 10.30am to 7pm.
