The UAE Federal Supreme Court sentenced a Pakistani woman to jail, finding her guilty of spying for foreign countries, Al Bayan reports.

The court sentenced a 33-year-old Pakistani woman, identified as Aisha Farouk Mohammed Khan, to six months imprisonment followed by deportation.

The accused was convicted of disclosing confidential information belonging to the Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du), to two foreigners.

The State Security Circuit of the Federal Supreme Court also heard witness statements in the case of four defendants accused of giving money to two terrorist organisations.

The court decided to hold its next session on March 21 to hear the defence witnesses at the request of the defendants' lawyers.

Earlier, the public prosecutor, in the previous session, charged four Arab and North American defendants, accusing them of providing funds to the two terrorist  organisations The February 17th Martyrs Brigade and Fajr Libya Militias affiliated to Muslim Brotherhood. The prosecutor noted that the accused were aware that the funds were used to finance terrorist operations.

The defendants, as per the charges, had cooperated with the two terrorist groups as they provided them with the tools, including equipment, vehicles, radios and night binoculars and raincoats, which helped terrorists achieve their purposes.
