Low-intensity quake hits southwest Pakistan
A 4.2-magnitude earthquake on Friday jolted several districts in southwestern Pakistan, leaving at least 13 people injured.
Pakistan meteorological official Farooq Ahmad says the quake was centered in Karakh, 300 kilometers south of Quetta, the capital of Baluchistan province.
Dr Mohammad Jafar says 13 people were admitted to Quetta’s main hospital with minor injuries.
He says the 13 were hurt after falling on the ground or hitting walls while running to safety during the quake.
