Man threatening to blow himself up holds Central London

Police cordoned off large parts of Central London’s Regent Street after a man broke into a shop in and threatened to blow himself up.

Armed security men who cordoned off the area managed to arrest the man after a four-hour stand-off , reports The Sun.

Several teams of armed personnel were scrambled to the Accessorize store at around 12:20am after receiving an emergency call about the man inside.

A security cordon was immediately erected around the female fashion store located near Oxford Circus underground station and police negotiators began their work to defuse the situation.

After hours, the man left the premises around 5am. He was then searched and placed under arrest.
