Novel way to get wealthy: Marry five rich husbands

An Egyptian woman used her apparently attractive features to think of an innovative but illegal way to make wealth. She married five men and was about to trap a sixth husband before she was finally trapped by police.

The 40-year-old woman in Cairo had targeted wealthy men and her tricks did work. Through those five husbands, she did become rich and owned a building in one of the most luxury areas in the Egyptian capital.

As if such wealth was not enough, the woman went to the personal affairs department in Cairo and asked authorities to change the name of her last husband, a Yemeni, on the grounds she got married again.

“Officials then informed police about the women…after interrogation, they found that she had married five times and was about to marry again,” the Egyptian Arabic language daily Alanba said.

The paper said the unnamed woman had married four rich Arab businessmen before she met the Yemeni and married him. Her first husband, Mohsen Fafahallah, was nearly 80 years old.

“Police found that she had a big building in a key area in Cairo and that all her husbands were Arabs residing outside Egypt…she was arrested.”
