A man tried to commit suicide inside the bathroom of a Cathay Pacific flight as it landed in Hong Kong.
The passenger insisted on using the washroom as the flight from Seoul to Hong Kong was approaching the airport, reports Daily Mail.
Due to safety reasons, passengers are generally not allowed to use the washroom once the plane starts making its landing preparations.
The flight attendants were forced to break open the bathroom door when the man did not come out even after the plane landed.
When they broke open the lock, they found the man and a mobile phone case covered in blood, according to China's Apple Daily.
The passenger of Nepali origin, was on his way from Seoul to Kathmandu via Hong Kong.
However, after his failed suicide attempt, he was rushed to a hospital. He was later released.
Cathay Pacific did not release a statement after the incident.
