Saleh vows to return to Yemen

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh vowed to return to the country soon in a live video broadcast to supporters on Tuesday in the capital Sanaa.

In a speech to a meeting of tribes loyal to Saleh, who is recovering from an assassination attempt in neighbouring Saudi Arabia, he invited the opposition to go to the ballot box to end Yemen's political crisis, which has dragged into its seventh month.
