Yemeni President inspects airport

Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi on Sunday visited Aden International Airport in Khour Maksar district to examine renovation work and the destruction inflicted on the area by rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to the now-ousted president, Ali Abdullah Saleh.

He noted that the Yemeni National Resistance forces, which liberated Aden and the airport, have handed over the responsibility of protecting the airport to a government security force.

President Hadi also praised those who were martyred while participating in the liberation of the province.

He instructed the officials to boost cooperation with officials of the Gulf Cooperation Council members to speed up the renovation work at the airport to restore services.
