An Emirati national and an Italian singer have teamed up to pen a tribute to the late Sheikh Zayed and his vision as the UAE’s founding father.

Renowned Emirati talent Harbi Al Amri has teamed up with Benedetta Paravia aka Princess Bee, the Italian songwriter and brand ambassador for Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs to commemorate the tenth year since the passing of Sheikh Zayed.

The ‘Emaraat’ project was co-ordinated by young Emirati Zayed University student Sara Beljafla.

The duet, which is crooned in both Arabic and English, has been penned by Paravia and Emrati poet Ali Al Khawar and produced by Fayez Al Saeed.

The song will be followed by a music video, which will be shot in September and will showcase the development of the UAE in the form a fairy tale.

All the actors, Emirati Nationals and expats, featured in the video will portray the roles they have in real life.

A group of students of Al Noor will also feature in the video.

“We are proud to be part of this project and the song will bring further fame to the good name of our beloved country,” said Khalid Al Halyan, Chairman of Al Noor.

“I need to express all my joy for one of the biggest contribution for the good fame of my beloved country,” said Beljafla.

She added: “I truly think that my friend Benedetta has accomplished a mission no one has ever envisaged before celebrating the real welcoming spirit of my country always between modern times and traditions.”

The song and video will be released in November this year, just a few weeks before UAE National Day.

Al Noor is a non-profit organisation which falls under the Ministry of Social Affairs and professional training to the special needs community in Dubai.
