A baby decided to play hide and seek with the mother even before it is born.

During a pregnancy scan doctors could not spot any foetus in the sac of the mother's womb. First-time-mother Amy-Lou Howard was asked to terminate her baby.

This may happen when the foetus grows outside the womb.  Amy-Lou was advised she would need an injection to flush out her fallopian tubes to remove the foetus.

But Amy and her aunt, who accompanied Amy to the hospital, was determined to continue with the pregnancy, reports dailymail.

Amy's aunt had experience similar condition with her first child. So she advised Amy to wait till the second report.

A week later a second scan showed a healthy growing baby lying peacefully in the mother's womb. 'It shows doctors are not always right but mother's intuition is,' Amy said.

Amy is now a full time mother from Norfolk who gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Edward, now eight months old.
