THAILAND: Little Supatra Sasuphan is celebrating after being named the World's Hairiest Girl.

The 11-year-old, from Thailand, used to be teased about her looks and was often reduced to tears by jibes including 'wolf girl' and 'monkey face', reports The Sun.
 
Even when she was brought home from the hospital neighbours asked her parents what SIN they had committed to end up with such a hairy child.

But now Supatra, who has thick hair growing all over her face, ears, arms, legs, is delighted after her new found fame has helped her become one of the most popular girls in school, the paper says.

Supatra's title was confirmed after a quick grilling from Guinness World Record executives.

Supatra, nicknamed Nat, is one of only 50 documented cases of Ambras Syndrome since the Middle Ages.

Before the disease was understood, sufferers were branded 'werewolves' but the condition is actually caused by a faulty chromosome, the daily revealed.

She has attempted to remove the hair in the past with lasers but the treatment proved unsuccessful and it just kept growing back. 
 
Ghosts force pair from home

CHESHIRE: A couple have been forced to move out of their dream Cheshire home because of terrifying Ghosts.

French musician Jean Marc Mariole and his former model wife Charlotte have been hounded by scary incidents since moving into their Frodham home, reports The Sun.

The couple heard bumps in the night, saw ghostly orbs and even caught spine tingling poltergeists on CCTV - in scenes similar to horror film Paranormal Activity.

They are so scared they have left the comfort of their home and have had to blow £3,000 staying in a nearby hotel, the paper says.

And they have now resorted to begging an exorcist to ward off evil spirits.

But the house - which is close to the scene of two suicides - remains plagued by pests from the other side.

The pair say the spooky goings-on started just four weeks after they moved into their flat last April and include stamping noises, flying blobs and even levitating bed sheets.

The case bears a startling resemblance to the Hollywood horror film Paranormal Activity in which a couple use a video camera to record supernatural occurrences in their home, said the daily. 
 
Penthouse to launch world's first 3D porn television channel

EUROPE: Penthouse, the popular purveyor of pornography, will launch the world's first 3D adult television channel in Europe today.

The station will broadcast full 3D in high definition, streaming 30 hours of programming monthly, the company said. The network's original, adult-oriented programming will include "both soft-core and hard-core feeds," Penthouse said.

"We are very excited about the launch of the Penthouse 3D channel," said Marc Bell, CEO of FriendFinder Networks, the Boca Raton, Fla.-based parent company of Penthouse Media Group.

"Our goal is always to deliver the latest technology on the world's best platform."

Arch-rival Hustler said last month that it was preparing a branded HD channel that would also support some 3D programming. That channel will debut in Europe in March on the Hotbird satellite but it appears Penthouse has a jump on its rival.
 
Drug dog follows scent to cyclist's rear

MIAMI: A US man riding a bike reportedly with a tube of drugs containing 12 crack cocaine rocks stuck up his bum has been charged by police.

NBCMiami.com reports Clarell Jamar Colbert of Fort Pierce, Florida, was arrested after police found the tube of crack in his buttocks after a police dog smelled a "narcotic odour coming from his rear", according to tcpalm.com.

According to a police report, Colbert, 19, was spotted by a St Lucie County Sheriff's Office deputy on February 18 riding his bike in the middle of the street, where he was obstructing traffic.

During a pat down, Colbert "pulled away when he got near Colbert's rear waist line," according to the report.

As the deputy searched Colbert, he felt something tube-like in his behind. A drug-sniffing dog was called in and officers retrieved the tube, which contained 12 crack cocaine rocks.

Colbert was held on charges of drug possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
 
Man sacked for doing too much work

AUSTRALIA: Ping Han was a successful small business owner - he ran an insulation business, a travel agency, an interpreting service, a migration agency and also managed several rental properties.

The problem was he did it all while working at his "proper job" - as a RailCorp clerk.

Han was sacked after 14 years working for RailCorp when his bosses found out the extent of his moonlighting. He lost an appeal this month to the Transport Appeals Board for using his employer's time and resources to run his stable of small businesses.

Documents stated a RailCorp investigation found he breached its code of conduct by not declaring his secondary employment and used his email and other work resources for personal affairs.

Han pleaded guilty to breaching RailCorp's code of conduct, which says employees have to declare any secondary employment. But he claimed the sacking was extreme and he did not understand the policy "completely or correctly" because it had changed in 2007.
