Crazy World: Mum was a male bodybuilder...
Mum was a male bodybuilder
A bodybuilding father has transformed himself into a glamorous woman after struggling with his gender for years.
Transgender Chrisie Edkins, 31, had spent hours in the gym - bulking up to 16stone - in an attempt to convince himself he was a typical alpha male.
But in private, Chris, who is 6ft, had been dressing as a woman for years - and in 2003, bravely decided to go public with his new identity and become Chrisie, reports Daily Mail.
A full-time carer to her daughter Chloe, nine, Chrisie has faced a backlash from outraged neighbours and even been physically assaulted after announcing she was going to live as a woman.
But Ms Edkins, from Southampton, is adamant that being a woman doesn't stop her from being a good father, says the daily.
She was quoted by the paper as saying: 'My daughter is amazingly understanding of my new life as a woman. She's only nine but she's so mature for her age - more so than most adults.
'I did worry what effect me being Chrisie would have on her, but I think that having a happy parent is more important that having a male parent.
'My sex doesn't determine how good a parent I am, and it's taught Chloe to be accepting and understanding of other people.
'She knows not to judge people by what they look like.
'She has been teased a bit at school - but she can take it all in her stride. She just turns round to the bullies and tells them, 'My dad wants to be a girl", and they don't have a clue what to say back to her.'
When Chloe was born, Chrisie was Chris the mechanic. He also worked as an electrician and once ran a limousine business - where he was inundated with attention from women on hen nights.
But after years of being unhappy with her identity, Chrisie decided to make the leap, the paper revealed.
Now a svelte 10.5stone, she has had make-up tattooed onto her face, hair extensions, as well as having laser hair treatment and hormone therapy - followed by a boob job giving her a 34D chest.
But despite her feminine looks, Chrisie insists that Chloe still calls her dad, rather than mum.
Paedo at the fair
BRITAIN: John Wrey gazes at kiddies in a fairground - just three years after he was convicted of sickening child rapes.
The 54-year-old paedophile was seen strolling past rides and staring at children as he spent hours wandering around a busy city centre.
Wrey, part of a paedophile gang, was jailed for 5½ years for a string of horrific sex offences.
The judge branded Wrey "disgusting" - and caged the gang for a total of 50 years for abusing 28 girls as young as five.
But Wrey, from Hayle, Cornwall, served just three years before being freed on licence.
On one outing he left at 9.30am, signed in at a probation office and walked into the city centre.
He was seen staring at kids on funfair rides before visiting a Tesco and going back to his hostel.
On another day he visited the Plymouth Hoe tourist area, glaring sideways through sunglasses at a little girl.
The Probation Service said: "Sex offenders released from prison on licence are monitored by the Probation Service and police, and can be recalled to custody if they breach their conditions.
Snake dies from silicone poisoning after biting model
It should have been an alluring photoshoot between two of nature's beautiful creatures as a model wrapped herself in a snake.
But surgically enhanced model Orit Fox got more than she bargained for when the massive boa constrictor took objection to her over familiarity and reacted by biting into her breast.
However, it was the snake who came off worse because, while Fox need a tetanus shot in hospital, the reptile later died from silicone poisoning.
The B-list model and actress initially looked comfortable during the shoot, wrapping the huge snake around her legs, waist and neck while doing her best to look sexy.
In a figure hugging red and white striped dress, which revealed maximum cleavage, she gamely tried to take their bonding to the next level by licking the snake's face.
As she maneurvered the animal into position for the 'kiss', Fox loosened her grip on its neck, and after being licked the reptile reacted angrily.
It aimed straight for Fox's prized assets and sunk its teeth deep into her left breast.
She let out a high-pitched scream, as did a voice off camera who appeared to be directing the shoot.
An assistant rushed in to help her pull the snake off and after a few seconds of struggle the creature released its grip.
The peroxide-blonde model was rushed to a nearby hospital and given a tetanus shot.
However, the snake wasn't so lucky and died from silicone poisoning.
Mother sues pre-school over 'complete fraud'
MANHATTAN: A miffed mother has sued a pre-school, claiming it was not sophisticated enough for her four-year-old daughter and failed to properly prepare the tyke for New York City's elite primary schools.
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Nicole Imprescia claimed her daughter Lucia was forced to spend time with lesser-minded two-year-olds and was being taught colours and shapes instead of focusing on test preparation while attending York Avenue Preschool.
The school told Imprescia it would "prepare her daughter for the ERB, an exam required for admission into nearly all the elite private elementary schools," but as time went on, "it became obvious that defendant's promises were a complete fraud," the suit says.
"Indeed, the school proved not to be a school at all, but just one big playroom," the suit continues.
"In one instance, plaintiff's daughter, who at the time was four - perhaps the most important year for a pre-schooler, just shy of taking the ERB - was dumped with two-year-olds," the suit says.
Also at age four, the school was "still teaching plaintiff's daughters about shapes and colors," the suit claims. "In other words, there was no 'curriculum designed for a specific age group' also as promised."
School owner Michael Branciforte declined to comment, except to say Imprescia's suit was a "first" in the school's 30 years in business.
The suit seeks the return of Imprescia's $19,000 advance payment to the school because they engaged in "fraudulent misrepresentation".
Teen tricked into marrying grandpa tapper
THAILAND: A teenager'S dream of marrying a good-looking young man was shattered when her groom was not the 30-year-old bank officer she had fantasised about, but a 63-year-old rubber tapper, reported Harian Metro.
The 18-year-old girl, who works at a supermarket in Kulim, said she got to know the elderly man last October after he purportedly dialled her number by mistake.
The calls became more frequent and the man went to the extent of topping up the girl's phone credit and putting money into her younger sister's bank account for shopping and other needs.
The teenager, who only gave her name as Lis, said the man claimed he was a 30-year-old bank officer and still single.
"After several weeks we agreed to get married in Thailand," said Lis.
It was then she found out that the groom was not the one she imagined to be, but a grandfather who had been married four times before with children aged seven months to 30 years!
Lis said she declined to have the marriage consummated and asked to be separated after four days.
On returning to Kulim, she lodged reports against the man at the police station and the religious department.
