Angry otter attacks residents

Residents of a Florida nieghborhood are in fear of attack – but not from what you might expect.

An agressive otter has been on a spree, frightening residents and chasing them away from its habitat that brinks the edge of the neighborhood.

Resident Joe Costa-Silva experienced a first-hand encounter with the crazed critter, catching the animal on video with his cellphone.

"I only realized what it was after he came out of the water and chased me. I didn't know how fast it was at first. So I just took off," he said.

Wildlife experts reported that normally these incidentshappenin more western areas, but in this case it seems more likely the animal was protecting pups, but could also have rabies.
