Baby with 2 faces and 1 body born in India

Doctors are battling to save a baby born with two faces and one body in India.

The baby, reportedly born on August 22, 2014, has two mouths, two noses and four eyes but only one body, according to a report in metro.co.uk

This is a rare condition called craniofacial duplication and it affects just one in 100,000 babies.

Only 36 such cases have been reported in the world as yet, the report said, adding that none have survived so far.

The doctors attending to the baby was quoted by the website as saying the newborn is a ‘serious case’ and that they ‘are trying their best’.
