BRAZIL: This particular job certainly asks for the employee to dress up for the job.

A retired soldier who used to dress as a BAtman now has been hired by the Brazilian city of Taubaté to work as 'Batman', reports newspaper Ovale.

André Luiz Pinheiro has to patrol one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in the city to bring down incidents related to murder and drug trafficking.

According to the newspaper Ovale, the cops hope their caped coworker can "help to combat crimes such as murder and drug trafficking which have increased in Taubaté."

Pinheiro is ready for the tough assignment in the rough neighbourhood. "I am eager to know how we can work together," he said.

Three-year-old girl brutally raped

JAIPUR: A toddler was admitted in a hosiptal in Jaipur with injury marks on her body. The three-year-old girl was recently raped in the city of Bhilwara in Rajasthan.

A doctor told The Times of India that she had suffered trauma and was not allowing them to even touch her for a medical examination.

A panel of three doctors has been set up by the hospital administration to look after the abused child. Meanwhile, the mother of the child also approached the women's commission to help her get justice.

This incident comes, even as another infant battles for survival in New Delhi for about two months after she was admitted in India's premier hospital, AIIMS, with a fractured skill and human bites all over the body.

US: A female flight attendant on an American Airlines flight had to be overpowered after she took over the public address system and satrted screaming about a possible plane crash, citing technical glitches.

The pilot flew the plane back to the airport so that the attendant could be disembarked and taken for psychiatric evaluation.

The Dallas-Chicago flight finally took off after police and FBI agents marched the attendant off the plane.

The attendant was heard babbling and saying that she couldn't be held responsible for crashing the plane. She used the word 'crash' too many times to be ignored by others.

She also spoke about alosing a friend in the 9/11 attacks.

"She was screaming bloody murder," passenger Bethany Christakos told the Dallas Observer.

Woman gives birth to 14-pound baby

CALIFORNIA: A Southern California woman says doctors predicted she would give birth to a big baby boy, but nobody was prepared for just how big.

The North County Times reports Saturday that Jayden Sigler weighed in at 13 pounds, 14 ounces, when he was delivered by cesarean section Thursday.

His mother, Cynthia Sigler of Vista, says it took a photo of the scale readout to convince her cousin that the birth weight wasn't a joke.

The mother says doctors initially estimated that Jayden would weigh about 9 pounds. By March 6, the estimate jumped to about 11 pounds.

Dr. Jerald White says Jayden, at nearly 14 pounds, is the biggest baby he's delivered since his career began in 1961.
