NORTH KOREA: A man showed off his dog's litter with a lot of pride. Well, he had the right considering that there was a kitten in the litter as well.
He told a local newspaper in North Korea that his dog had given birth to a cat! He says he could hardly believe his eyes when his dog gave birth and the tiny being looked like a cat and was meowing like a cat as well, reports news agency ANI.
The dog owner believes that the miracle, if it can be called that, happened when his dog went missing one night and she might have been up to some mischief which led to the kitten's birth.
Experts claim that such 'miracle birth' is not possible genetically. The number and trait of chromosomes in canines and felines are completely different. However, they claimed, it is possible that the puppy looks like a kitten.
Woman gang-raped in police station
A strat-laced woman straight from a village in India was promised a job by a man she knew. She was lured to a police station in a Mumbai suburb where she claims she was forced to drink liquor and then gang raped by a group of cops inside a cell.
Rape charges have been filed against the man who lured her into the police station and another junior cop who was present at the Khadda police station, reveals Mid-Day.
Meanwhile, the woman was sent for a medical examination to confirm her claims.
Baby injected with milk dies
ROME: In a pathetic case, a premature baby was injected with milk instead of saline in a hospital in Rome.
The baby boy from Phillippines was given the fatal intravenous injection in June and now the medical staff at San Giovanni hospital are under investigation by the country's health officials.
The child who was admitted in the neonatal unit from a different city, died within 48 hours of the fatal injection.
It is still not clear how such a mistake occurred.
Woman dials 911 during assault in broad daylight
CANADA: A brave woman who was attacked in a park just outside her home managed to dial 911 on her mobile phone to alert the police about the sexual assault.
She even managed to restrain her attacker until police arrived to get her out of the sticky situation in Canada's northeast Winnipeg, reports Sun News Network.
The woman was attacked in broad daylight by a teenager when she was walking back from work. The attacker followed her on a bicycle and asked her for the time. He then fiddled with his bike and suddenly lurched at her. The boy even told her that he wanted to rape her.
The woman, a mother of three, said that the youngster looked to be under the influence of alcohol.
