Man lives with broken neck for 43 years

LONDON: A 59-year-old ex-soldier learnt he had a fractured vertebrae decades later when he happened to take a X-Ray for another condition.

He had apparently sustained an injury at the age of 16 while playing a rugby match for the Army, reports news agency ANI.

The man's decades old injuries came to light only when he went through an MRI scan after he dislocated his shoulder recently. He had major injuries in the C3 vertebrae.

The man had strong neck muscles which probably helped cushion his injury for so many years.
