BRITAIN:  A 35-year-old woman used some drug she bought online to self abort her ready-to-be-born foetus in the final week of her pregnancy.

The woman pleaded guilty to the charge that she took the poison with the intention of procuring a miscarriage, reports Daily Mail.

Displaying 'unusual beahviour', the woman had refused to divulge what she did with the dead foetus. The entire family is in a state of shock and the woman's father-in-law said that she was a lovely woman and he failed to understand this behaviour which was so out of character.

The mother-of-two bought drug which is commonly used to induce abortions online.

A legal termination is allowed to be carried out up to 24 weeks under normal circumstances in the UK unless there serious medical requirements to go beyond this.
 
Millions receive death threat via SMS

AUSTRALIA: Millions of people in Australia's New South Wales have recieved an SMS that says that they will face death if they do not send $5,000 to an email address.

Authorities looking into the grave matter are trying to find the source of the text message, rpeorted Sydney's Daily Telegraph.

The sinister SMS reads: "Sum 1 paid me to kill you. get spared, 48 hrs to pay $5000. If you inform the police or anybody, death is promised... E-mail me now: killerking247@yahoo.com."

The police officials have asked the receivers of the text message to ignore it as they do not think someone will actually carry out the threat mentioned in it.
 
20 years for raping daughter-in-law

MALAYSIA: A father-in-law who is employed as a security guard in Malaysia's Malacca has been found guilty of raping his blind daughter-in-law.

The incestuous crime is punishable by anywherre between six and 20 years of jail and whipping with rotan, reports Asia One.

The father-in-law has received the maximum sentence and will serve in jail for 20 years.

The 26-year-old visually impaired woman lost her eyesight in an accident and she and her husband had asked the elderly gentleman to help her get traditional treatment for her eyes.

However, the man took advantage of her condition and during the treatment process, he ordered his son to go out of the house and asked the woman, who was almost like his daughter, to strip, wear a sarong and then he raped her.
 
Headmistress has affair with student, 13 for 9 years

A Montessori headmistress has been jailed for five years after she was convicted for sex with student.

The head of the exclusive Manhattan prep school was involved in the love affair with the teenager for 9 years. The 'victim' was an equal partner in the relationship and told the court that he enjoyed the relationship that he shared with the 46-year-old woman.

The woman started abusing the boy when he was going through a difficult time as his parents were separating. The woman tok advantage of that and involved the underage boy in the affair throughout his middle school and high school career, reports NY Daily News.

The woman who worked as the head of the prep school owned by her parents had also started abusing another 12-year-old boy.

Her first victim, meanwhile, grew up to become a cop. She made his life miserable by carrying tales to his bosses in NYPD and accusing him of raping her.

Her case went on trial in 2007 but repeated appeals had stalled her punishment so far.

She will start her jail term immediately after exhausting all opportunities to appeal further were diminished.
 
Runaway couple tied to tree, stripped and beaten in public

INDIA: A married woman and her lover in the Indian state of Rajasthan were tied to a tree, stripped and severely beaten before a crowd of 1,000 people on the orders of the village council.

The runaway couple's heads were also shaved for daring to bring bad name to the community and village and for having illicit relations.

The police officials could not do much. Although they tried to intervene in the village matter, the residents hurled stones at them to keep them at bay.
