Date with a dead mouse…

A Saudi man got the shock of his life when he opened a date pack he had bought from a local supermarket to find a dead mouse stuffed with the fruit.

The man, quoted by Arar newspaper, said  a foul smell instantly struck him when he opened the pack at home after buying it from the hypermarket in the capital Riyadh.

“I suspected that there is something wrong when I smelt it…then I saw it—a dead mouse stuffed with the dates,” he said.

“Imagine if I had not noticed it and ate the date with my family…..we could all have fallen ill…I call on authorities to take action against that supermarket, which has many branches in Saudi Arabia.”
