Dog called goat in Saudi school book

A school book distributed to students by the Saudi Ministry of Education appeared to have mixed up names of animals, calling a dog a goat.

The book, published in the Arabic language daily Arar News, carried an image of the famous black and white hound dog but the name under the picture is a goat in Arabic.

“How could the Ministry get mixed up between a dog and a goat…perhaps in the Maghreb region, they call this dog a goat but we are not in Maghreb,” said Mohammed Al Ahaidib, a well known Saudi columnist.
