After three years, the Moroccan boy born without a face is getting help. His parents had been running from pillar to post seeking help since his birth. Yahya Zohra was born with no eyes, nose and upper jaw because the bones in his face failed to fuse in the womb.

He is now preparing to undergo a life-changing reconstructive surgery in Melbourne, reported au.news.yahoo.com.

Yahya's father Mostapha said no one was willing to treat his boy. At last, it was Moroccan-born Melbourne woman Fatima Bakara who saw his story on Facebook and set about tracking down a surgeon who would help the little one.

And thus, reconstructive surgeon Dr Tony Holmes met Yahya in Melbourne in August to assess him in person for the first time and built a model of his skull.

"I think this one is about as difficult as it gets… this is a 9-9.50 out of 10 degree of difficulty without any doubt…” Dr Holmes was quoted by the website as saying.

This will be just the first of many such operations before Yahya could finally get a human face.

According to the surgeon, this condition is not genetic and most kids would not survive pregnancy.

Before he flew to Melbourne, little Yahya met with Bakara. "I just want to hug him… I have fallen in love with this little boy," she said.
