Insect spray hits family instead of insects

An 18-month Kuwaiti child died and six members of his family were rushed to hospital after they inhaled insecticide sprayed in their house, the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Alanba reported on Tuesday.

A company specialized in “insect extermination” was hired by the family to spray their house in the Capital to clean it up, the paper said.

“The child died and six members of his family were still in serious condition in the hospital after inhaling the insecticide,” the paper said, adding that police were investigating the incident.
