A 20-year-old Kuwaiti man had to call the civil defence and an ambulance after his finger got stuck in a ring and stopped blood flow.

Civil defence units took the man to hospital where he was given local anesthesia before they used special tools to cut open the ring.

“The civil defence men managed to cut open the ring and free the man’s finger. He then had treatment at the hospital,” Al Watan daily said.

Saudi civil defence joined hands with local doctors to save the hand of a child after it was caught inside a meat mincer while he was playing with the machine at home.
