Snake vs possum: One dies, and still wins

This snake had eyes bigger than its stomach.

Amazing pictures have emerged, both on YouTube and the Daily Mail showing the two-metre carpet snake spending four hours trying to swallow a possum whole; and failing.

The pictures were snapped by Ipswich truck painter Tim Sharman, west of Brisbane.

“We saw the snake and possum fall off the roof, the snake had the possum wrapped up tight,” he was quoted as saying by Daily Mail Australia.

It took the snake 30 minutes to kill the possum and four hours for it to reach the hind legs while consuming it.

In the end it was too much - the snake began to regurgitate the possum.
